El Gato Negro (The Black Cat)Completely restored in the year 2000, retaining its thick chestnut beams and other wood features, the cottage has an ideal location just below the quiet main square.
Shops, bars, bakeries, art shop and gallery, restaurants – and now a cybercafé – are all close by, yet the street is traffic-free, save for a few people and goats, widening only in the corner where the house is. Guests often sit out here in the sun, or in the shade of the fresno tree. No one hurries much in Capileira. |
El Gato Negro is a traditional Alpujarras village house, built on one storey with walls of thick stone that insulate it from summer heat and the winter cold. It’s cosy without being small and pleasantly illuminated. See price & property summary.
Opposite the kitchen and breakfast bar is a sitting/dining area with sofa.
